It is, for me problem solving. And because we're a direct service organization, I don't think we called it innovation, but there is actually, in fact, an incredible culture of innovation because people walk in the door and they have needs and they have aspirations, and you're, on a daily basis having to think about how you problem solve for those people." – Claire Casey, President, AARP Foundation This week's VentureFuel Visionary is Claire Casey, President of AARP Foundation, the charitable affiliate of AARP focused on a future without senior poverty. Claire shares the Foundation’s approach to innovation: leveraging empathy and experimentation to understand people's needs and find new, scalable solutions to complex issues during this year's Rogue Women VI: Authenticity to Fuel Growth, our annual women in innovation event held in New York City on March 9, 2023, in partnership with the Rogue Women's Fund.     VentureFuel builds and accelerates innovation programs for industry leaders by helping them unlock the power of External Innovation via startup collaborations.  [![Meet VentureFuel](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/9106794/a45798f5-cdf8-41c7-a319-32b9f9c8276a.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/9106794/a45798f5-cdf8-41c7-a319-32b9f9c8276a) Tags: [Innovation](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/innovation), [podcasts](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/podcasts), [Rogue Women](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/rogue-women), [Senior Citizen](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/senior-citizen), [VentureFuel Visionaries](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/venturefuel-visionaries), [Women Power](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/women-power), [Authenticity](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/authenticity), [AARP](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/aarp), [AARP Foundation](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/aarp-foundation), [Purpose-Driven Innovation](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/purpose-driven-innovation), [Senior Poverty](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/senior-poverty), [Silver Tech](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/tag/silver-tech) [Back to Blog](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov) ## Related Articles ## [Authentic Entrepreneurship - Kinumi, Co:Create, Source](https://blog.venturefuel.net/pov/authentic-entrepreneurship-kinumi-cocreate-source) "This journey of entrepreneurship is scary, but it's not the scariest thing I've ever...
